Introduction
This privacy notice (the “Privacy Notice”) applies to ContextVision AB’s, company registration number 556377-8900, (hereinafter referred to as “ContextVision”, “we” or “us”) processing of personal data when you or the company you represent is a customer, when you visit our website or otherwise engage with us such as apply for a job or thesis internship. ContextVision is the data controller for the processing of personal data carried out under this Privacy Notice.
Personal data is any information that can be linked to you as an individual, such as name, address, and contact information. Processing refers to any action we take regarding your personal data, such as collection, using and storing of the personal data. Personal data and any processing of such is protected and regulated by the European Union Regulation (2016/679) (“GDPR”).

How do we protect your personal data?
We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of your personal data. Therefore, we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. These measures include, but are not limited to storing personal data in systems with limited access.
We may share your personal data with our affiliates, subsidiaries and service providers (such as website hosting, customer service etc) for the purposes set in this Privacy Notice.
We may also share with and/or receive your personal data from to the parties specific to research initiatives that you take part in. ContextVision and the clinical site that performs the research initiative and that has collected your personal data act as joint data controllers. Please note that the clinical site is responsible to inform you of the processing of your personal data and the collection of your consent in such cases. If you have any question regarding the processing of your personal data and your rights under the research initiatives and related processing, please start with contacting the relevant clinical site at hand.
We may also share your personal data with authorities, when we are legally obligated to do so. Please note that the authorities act as data controllers and that this Privacy Notice is therefore not applicable to their processing of your personal data.
Where will your personal data be processed?
Some of our partners and suppliers may have part of their operations in countries outside of the EU/EEA (so called third-countries). Transfers only takes place to countries that the European Commission has declared to provide adequate level of protection.
The European Commission has concluded that US ensures an adequate level of protection for personal information transferred from the EU to companies participating the EU-U. S Data Privacy Framework.
If there is no decision from the European Commission or companies in the US do not participate in the EU-U:S Data Privacy Framework, transfers only take place to countries where the transfer of the personal information is subject to appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
What are your rights?
Under the GDPR you have several rights as a data subject.
- Right to request information about our processing of your personal information. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal data we use about you.
- Right to request that inaccurate or incomplete data about you is corrected or completed.
- Right to object to your personal data is being used on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (art. 6.1 f). Please note that if we can demonstrate that our legitimate interest in the processing outweighs your interests and rights, we may continue processing despite your objection.
You also have the right to receive information on the balancing test made for processing based on our legitimate interest.
- Right to limitation of the processing of your personal data in some cases, such as the personal data Is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
- Right to be given and use your personal data elsewhere in some cases (for example on the basis of fulfilment of contract art. 6.1 b), meaning to have your data transferred to another data controller (data portability).
- In cases where personal data is based on consent (art. 6.1 a), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. When you withdraw your consent, we will stop any processing of personal data which is based on the consent.
- Right to not be subject of a decision that is only based on some form of automated decision-making, including profiling, if the decision can have legal consequences for you or in a similar war affects you to a considerable degree.
- Right to request that data relating to you is deleted in some cases, for example if the personal information is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, you object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing.
- Right to withdraw your consent at any time for such processing where it is based on your consent. Please note that a withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before the withdrawal.

We may change this Privacy Notice. The latest version is always available on our website.
Any changes will become effective when the revised Privacy Notice is made available.
